Okay, so the San Diego Comic-Con is next month. And in the years I’ve been going, my friends have always given me crap I’ve never cosplayed at the con.
Now to be fair, the big reason to go, outside of the involuntary geeking out, was to meet with companies to show my work for possible pop-culture freelance.
But then something changed last year…
That change? Conan O’Brien brought his show to SDCC! So I tried to get a viral campaign going. Essentially issuing to challenge to Conan and Team COCO that for tickets to one of the SDCC shows I would make my first SDCC cosplay as Conan himself! And with the campaign efforts, came the hashtag, #KoreanConan.
But sadly my efforts failed. BUT HASSAH! Conan is bringing his show back to SDCC, and with it, another chance!
So, to you Conan O’Brien…
Big fan for, well, what seems like forever. And as this blog post speaks to, much to my friends dismay, never cosplayed at SDCC. BUT since you’re bringing your show back to the con this year, if you would grace this fan with tickets to one of your SDCC shows, I will make my first cosplay at SDCC in your image.
Let’s make some “String Man” dancing magic happen!
As for the rest of you? If you’re interested in helping? Let’s get this campaign going! Post on your favorite social channel, tag Conan and Team COCO, link this page (or the Facebook page), and hashtag #KoreanConan
Let’s see if we can’t make some hangok magic happen! 😀
As I mentioned above, there’s a Facebook page for this, and you can find it here.
